Lockdown: Escape From Furnace

By Alexander Gordon Smith

Genre: Science Fiction

Alex Sawyer is not a good kid. He starts out as a bully, and eventually, with his best friend, he starts to rob houses. Alex's life take a dramatic turn for the worse when his best friend is murdered during a job, and Alex is framed for the murder. His punishment is a life sentence in The Furnace, an underground, maximum-security juvenile prison. The Furnace is populated with kids much worse than Alex, as well as many kids who were also convicted of a crime they did not commit. The Furnace is as close to hell a human being can get. But there is something darker and more sinister in The Furnace; inmates are taken from their cells in the middle of the night, never to be seen again. There are strange, demonic sounds audible in the middle of the night, and the warden, his guards, and even the guard dogs all seem... different. Through his alliances and friendships, Alex finds a glimmer of hope: can he do the impossible and escape from The Furnace? Lockdown: Escape from Furnace is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that will leave you wanting the sequel.
